My restaurant management project

The system provides two major functionalities for the user. They are: Menu options and Billing options. They form the core of the restaurant billing system. They allow a user to add a new dish and its cost, display the existing list of dishes and its cost and update the existing list of the dishes and its cost. The official could also input the ordered item to generate bill.
The Menu option allows the official to maintain a record on the dishes available in the restaurant and its corresponding price. This module would actually allow the official who uses this program to add new dish names and its cost. And it also provides option to view the items that are previously added in the database. If there is a need to make modifications on the existing dish name and cost, then it could be done too in this menu module. While adding the dish name, it must be taken care that the name is a single string. The cost of the dish could be in Rupees or dollar or euro or any currency, the corresponding billing is made in corresponding currency. The separate file called “Menu.doc” maintains the database of the dishes and its cost. Every time when a dish is added or modified, the Menu.doc gets modified.
The next module is the Order and billing, which contains options for order and billing.
